Privacy Policy

KindredTable is built to be private. There are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking. This policy explains what the app handles and why.

What stays on your device

• Your taste profile (loved foods, cuisines, diets, allergens, dislikes, spice level, skill, equipment).
• Your pantry list, saved recipes, and grocery list.
• Any family taste cards you add — sharing happens directly by QR code or link; nothing is uploaded to us.

We do not have servers that store your personal data, and we never sell your data.

What is sent to provide the service

To identify ingredients and generate recipes, the app sends the following to Google's Gemini API:

• The photo you choose or capture, when you ask the app to identify ingredients.
• Your ingredient names and taste preferences (diet, allergens, cuisines, etc.) when generating recipes.

This information is sent only to fulfill your request. It is not tied to your name or any account, and the app does not attach identifiers to it. Google's handling of API data is governed by Google's privacy terms.

Voice features

Hands-free Cook Mode uses your device's microphone and Apple's on-device speech recognition to understand commands like “next” and “repeat.” Read-aloud uses your device's built-in text-to-speech. These run on your device.

Analytics & tracking

None. KindredTable does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Children

KindredTable is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13, and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

You can edit or clear your taste profile, pantry, saved recipes, and grocery list at any time in the app. Deleting the app removes this on-device data.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves; material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
